The communications system within the house consists of the following equipment: door bell, door opener, door intercom, internal telephone, video surveillance and alarm systems for fire, instrusion and hold-up.
Simple doorbells with automatic door openers no longer meet modern requirements. Who wants their visitor to already be standing on the doorstep? And unwanted persons should certainly be deterred at the entrance to the house or garden.
This is made possible by an intercom with optional video feature. For the video system a camera is usually mounted in the garden or entrance way with images being conveyed to a screen in the house.
Using appropriate interfaces the door intercom can be connected to the house telephone system and the video surveillance can transmit images to the TV screen or, via an internal network, to all the computers in the house.
